| What does the October 11, 2005 State Performance Audit really
say is the financial problem for the Struthers City Schools? |
|
| On page 2-27 the report states: "It appears the district's
financial difficulties are due to overspending rather than a lack of funding. In Fiscal Year 2003-04, Struthers City School
District received approximately $39 more per student in total general fund revenue than the peer average. However, during
the same time period, the district spent $7,906 per student, or approximately $1, 039 more than the peer average. In addition,
while all the peers were successful in keeping their expenditures at a level similar to their available revenues, the Struthers
City School District OVERSPENT their available revenues by approximately $875 per student." |
|
| If elected, Dennis Spisak will see that if expenditures exceed
the available appropriations, reductions in other areas of the budget will occur. |
|
| Dennis Spisak will watch and spend our tax dollars wisely,
unlike the former superintendent and Board of Education prior to 2005. |
